The village of Shorewood, Wisconsin, is the first suburb north of the city of Milwaukee. Shorewood extends from the shore of Lake Michigan on the east to the Milwaukee River on the west. The village of Whitefish Bay is its northern neighbor.

Freelance illustrator Jennifer Cooney Vulpas designed our logo and the sign for our awareness campaign, which was endorsed by the Shorewood Conservation Committee and the Village of Shorewood. Volunteers distribute signs to Shorewood businesses to remind shoppers to bring their own bags.
